Effects of Winter Nutrient Solution Heating on Tomato Growth and Photosynthesis
'Fengzhu(CL042)'tomato was used as the test material, and five temperature gradients were set by heating the nutrient solution(12 ℃(T1-CK),14 ℃(T2),16 ℃(T3),18 ℃(T4),and 20 ℃(T5),respectively).Using 12 ℃ as a control, the effects of winter substrate cultivation on tomato growth and photosynthesis were studied,to screen for the suitable nutrient solution temperature for winter substrate cultivation of tomatoes,in order to provide reference for the practical application of winter substrate cultivation of tomato in solar greenhouses in northern regions. The results showed that tomatoes performed well in growth indexes when the nutrient solution heating was T4(18 ℃)and T5(20 ℃).T5 treatment performed best in SPAD value, net photosynthetic rate(Pn),intercellular carbon dioxide concentration(Ci),stomatal conductance(Gs)and transpiration rate(Tr),40.50,15.10 μmol·m-2·s-1,233.33 μmol·mol-1,0.21 mmol·m-2·s-1 and 4.36 mmol·m-2·s-1,respectively.The root viability of T5 treatment was the lowest,1.91 μg-1·g-1·min-1,and the harvesting time of T5 treatment could reach 45 days. The temperature of T5(20 ℃)nutrient solution treatment was suitable for winter substrate cultivation tomatoes in northern China to increase harvest time.
