Identification of Salt Tolerance of 12 Watermelon Germplasm Resources
Twelve watermelon germplasm resources were used as test materials, and the method of stress treatment by 300 mmol·L-1 NaCl potted irrigation was used to study the effects of salt stress on physiological indexes of watermelon seedlings after 9 days,in order to provide reference for screening watermelon germplasm with strong salt tolerance. The results showed that, malondialdehyde(MDA),proline(Pro),superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD)and catalase(CAT)activities of watermelon seedlings were generally increased after salt stress, and there were differences in salt tolerance and the degree of salt damage in different materials. The salt tolerance of watermelon at the seedling stage was comprehensively evaluated by the salt damage index combined with the subordinate function method, and the 12 watermelon germplasm were classified into three categories, three highly salt-tolerant germplasm('W005''W046'and'W004'),two sensitive germplasm('W015'and'W023')and seven medium salt-tolerant germplasm.
