In order to further implement general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee Xi Jinping's important discourse on the work of literature and artistic work and the impor-tant instructions for literary and artistic comments,the Symposium on the Construction of New Era Music Evaluation System was held on August 25,2023 at the Harbin Conservatory of Music.Music theorists,critics,educators,composers and practitioners of music activities from all over the coun-try followed the current development of China's music life,their speeches dealt with the construc-tion of the discipline system,academic system,discourse system,and education system of contem-porary Chinese music criticism.They provided academic suggestions and opinions on the practical work of playing the role of music criticism in guiding the fine works to create quality performances,improving the aesthetics,and leading the fashion.
