Comparative Perspective of Chinese and Foreign Science Fiction/Love Films
The characteristic of science fiction films is to use technology as a reference frame,while the characteristic of romance films is to conceive around romantic relationships. Sci-fi/love films are the product of their mutual penetration. Compared to other types of love films,the characteristic of sci-fi/love films is to use technology as a reference frame to unleash imagination,imagine various loves that crosses celestial,species and human-machine boundaries,and examine their possibilities and impossibilities. Compared with other types of sci-fi films,the characteristic of sci-fi/love films is to revolve around time imagination,space imagination,and apocalyptic imagination of romantic relationships. Both Chinese and Western sci-fi/love films have been branded with their respective cultural backgrounds. Western works attach great importance to the expression of social concepts,while Chinese works attach great importance to the promotion of moral ideals. Whether China or the West,sci-fi/love films emphasize the interaction between technology and love. The main idea is to use future technological development ( or abnormal application of technology) as a guide,expressing concern for human nature,human sentiment and human destiny.
