Effects of Different Slope Positions on the Structure and Growth of Tilia mandshurica Secondary Forest
Tilia mandshurica secondary forest is one of the typical forest types in Northeast China, and its structure and growth are significantly affected by various environmental factors, especially differences in slope position.Based on the field plot data, the effects of different slope positions on the structure and growth in Tilia mandshurica secondary forest were explored. The stand structure, diameter at breast height, and height distribution of Tilia mandshurica at upper, medium, and lower slope positions were analyzed,as well as the variation patterns of individual volume and stand volume. These results indicate that the proportion of Tilia mandshurica in different slope positions is less than 50%,belonging to a mixed forest, with associated tree species mainly including Quercus mongolica,Populus davidiana, and Juglans mandshurica. There was an extremely significant positive correlation between the diameter at breast height and height of Tilia mandshurica at different slope positions. The slope position significantly affected the growth of Tilia mandshurica, with the diameter at breast height, height, individual volume, and stand volume of Tilia mandshurica at lower slope positions being significantly larger than those at upper and medium slope positions.
