Clinical Characteristics of Liver Damage in Patients with Hyperthyroidism
Objective To analyze clinical characteristics of liver damage in patients with hyperthyroidism. Methods Select 80 patients with hyperthyroidism, including 40 patients with liver function impairment(observation group)and 40 patients without liver function impairment(control group). Both groups of patients were tested for liver function using a fully automated biochemical analyzer, using chemiluminescence detection method to test various thyroid function indicators, obtaining information on the patient's course of illness, age, etc.,and comparing the above indicators between groups to observe the liver function impairment of the two groups of patients. Results The average age of patients in observation group was(48.45±2.55)years,while the average age of patients in control group was(48.65±2.65)years,(P>0.05).The incidence of liver function impairment in observation group was 25.00%(10/40)for patients under 1 a,and 75.00%(30/40)for patients over 1 a.The difference in the duration of liver function impairment among patients was statistically significant(P<0.05).The differences in liver function indicators ALP,ALT,AST,GGT,and TBiL between the two groups of patients were statistically significant.Among them, observation group had higher ALP,ALT,AST,GGT,and TBiL than control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in thyroid function indicators FT3,FT4,TT3,TT4,and TSH between the two groups of patients.Among them, observation group had higher levels of FT3,FT4,TT3,TT4,and TSH than control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that FT3,FT4,TT3,TT4 were positively correlated with ALT levels in patients with hyperthyroidism and liver dysfunction(P<0.05);FT3,FT4,TT3 are positively correlated with AST levels(P<0.05).ALP,GGT,TBiL were not correlated with age, disease duration,FT3,FT4,TT3,TT4,TSH(P>0.05).Conclusion By analyzing clinical characteristics of liver damage in patients with hyperthyroidism, the results show that liver damage is closely related to the age and course of disease.Additionally, liver damage is positively related to thyroid function;the higher the thyroid function index, the more severe the liver function damage.
