Antifungal Effect of Low Molecular Weight Peptides from Oxya chinensis on Nanguo Pear
The low molecular weight peptides were extracted from Oxya chinensis sinensis, and the inhibitory effects of low molecular weight peptides on Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus and mold were studied by filter paper method. The results showed that low molecular weight peptides were able to inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus and mold. The low molecular weight peptides showed significantly antibacterial effect against Escherichia coli than other groups(P<0.05).As the concentration of low molecular weight peptide solution increases, the inhibition was also increasing. The 3.5mg/mL and 4.0mg/mL concentration solution had the better antibacterial effect. The low molecular weight peptide coating can effectively slow down a series of adverse changes in Nanguo pears, including increased weight loss rate, decreased reducing sugar content, elevated decay index, reduced soluble solids content, softened texture, and decreased titratable acidity.Meanwhile,4 mg/mL low molecular weight peptide has the best anti-corrosion effect on Nanguo pear.
