By taking the methods of case study and literature review, this paper analyzes TV sports shows such as“Star Diving in Water Cube”. The paper analyzes TV sports show’s characteristics by discussing “Star Diving in Water Cube”and points out the development focus of this kind of shows by comparing with the same kind of shows. By analyzing the characteristics of the TV sports shows, this paper tries to fill the gap of academic analysis of TV sports shows and finds out its problems such as too many physical factors, program segments ossification and program factors’ complexity, etc., drawing the solution of changing the program’s segments, keeping creative to improve the quality of program.
