Traditional Wushu is one of the most featured and attracting part in Chinese traditional culture. It contains numerous creativity and cohesion of Chinese nations and is regarded as the essence of Chinese culture. With the development of our country, increasing of economic power, acceleration of urbanization, traditional Wushu, once seen as the most valuable treasure of our country, has gradually evolved and even disappeared. The old phenomenon of the contention of different schools and thoughts has produced many problems with the process of urbanization. Traditional Wushu is now in an awkward dilemma. The evolution of traditional Wushu has a great presentation in northern Jiangsu, this holy land for Wushu of all ages. In order to understand the evolution of traditionalWushu in the process of urbanization, this article choses three cities of northern Jiangsu (Xuzhou, Huaiyin, Suqian) as research area, and employs the methods of literature, interviews, mathematical statistics to conduct a series of investigations and research on traditional Wushu.
