Application of 2 μm laser ablation technology in biological tissues
Due to its advantages such as energy concentration, good stability, and ease of use, lasers are increasingly used in the field of biomedicine. In recent years, the 2 μm laser has become the ideal choice for biological tissue ablation and lithotripsy surgery with the advantage of high water molecular absorption coefficient, exhibiting great application prospects. The light distribution and light heat transfer mechanism of laser ablation biological tissue were briefly described, and the application of 2 μm laser in vitro tissue, internal tissue and lithotripsy surgery was introduced. The effect of laser power, working mode, pulse frequency, etc on different biological tissue targets was summarized. The conclusion is that thulium-doped fiber laser(TFL)has the potential to replace Ho:YAG laser in the field of laser ablation. Finally, the main issues and trends in the development of TFL in the biomedical field were proposed.
