Legal Basis,Realistic Observation,and Future Prospects of Law-based Education in China's Primary and Secondary Schools in the New Era
In the new era,strengthening the law-based education in primary and secondary schools is in-evitable in response to the national strategy of law-based governance,and is also crucial in cultivating future citizens with an integrated awareness of the law,rules,and responsibilities.The spirit of social contract,con-temporary Chinese outlook on human rights,citizen education,and moral development have collectively constituted the legal basis for law-based education in primary and secondary schools in the new era.Currently,the overall development of law-based education in primary and secondary schools is sound.But there are still some problems such as insufficient in-depth guidance,a lack of systematic education,insignificant effects,and imperfect platforms concerning the cultivation of legal belief,knowledge,emotion and practice.The study suggests to solidify the ideological foundation of law-based education,foster an emotional consensus towards law-based education,promote an integrated approach to law-based education,and mobilize social forces to enhance the effectiveness of law-based education in primary and secondary schools.
