Objective To compare and analyze the nutritional status and differences of vitamin D in infants who underwent a physical exam in our hospital from July,2022 to June,2023.Methods Infants who visited our hospital for physical examination without acute or chronic diseases from July,2022 to June,2023 were selected as the study objects.Peripheral blood was taken and total vitamin D and 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 [25 (OH)D3 ] were detected by fluorescence immunochromatography.Datasets were then analyzed and compared. Results The overall vitamin D nutritional status of infants was relatively good in local region:3/4 of infant vitamin D were ideal level, and less than 1 .3% infants showed vitamin D deficiency and no serious deficiency was observed. With age increasing, the proportion of infants with ideal vitamin D decreased, vitamin D sufficiency and deficiency increased. The average values of total vitamin D and 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 in total infants,as well as boys and girls showed slight fluctuation with age increasing, and the total vitamin D,25-hydroxyvitamin D3 showed significant differences among different month age in total infants and girl group (P<0.001).There was no difference in the total vitamin D,25-hydroxyvitamin D3 ,ratio in boy and girl groups at each months of age, except for 3 months. Before half a year old,the average values of total vitamin D,25-hudroxyvitamin D3 in boy and girl groups were reversed every two months from 2-month age. After that, the average values flipped monthly. Conclusion The overall vitamin D nutrition of infants up to one year old in local region is good. However, strengthen rational vitamin D supplement is necessary.
