A Genotyping Analysis of 28923 Female Human Papillomavirus in Chaoyang District,Beijing
Objective To analyze the infection status, genotype distribution, and age-specific differences of 28923 cases of human papillomavirus (HPV)detection results in the Chaoyang District of Beijing, so as to provide a reference basis for the prevention of cervical cancer (CC)and the promotion of vaccines in the local area. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted for human papillomavirus (HPV)screening test results of 28923 female patients who visited the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Oncology,Family Planning Department, and Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital/Beijing Maternal and Child Health Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University from January,2019 to December,2021 and voluntarily underwent multiple fluorescence PCR technology for 23 types of HPV genotyping tests. Results Among 28923 cases,11076 patients were diagnosed with HPV infection, resulting in an infection rate of 38.29%. In terms of all HPV-infected individuals,single-type infections accounted for 24.45%,dual-type infections accounted for 8.56%, and multiple-type infections accounted for 5.27%.The age distribution of patients followed a U-shaped pattern, with the infection rate being lowest at the lowest and highest age groups. In terms of single-type infections, the most common high-risk HPV (HR-HPV)genotypes were HPV16,followed by 52,58,and 53.The most common low-risk HPV (LR-HPV)genotypes were HPV81,followed by 42,44,and 43.Among 28923 infected individuals, the highest number of patients (8958,accounting for 31%)were in the 31-40-year-old age group. The highest detection rate was observed in the under 20-year-old age group,at 55.56%,followed by the 21-30-year-old age group at 42.62%,and then the over 60-year-old age group at 41.88%. Conclusion In the overall HR-HPV infection rate in Beijing Chaoyang area, the highest infection types are HPV16,52,and 58.In LR-HPV,the highest infection types are HPV42,81,and 44.The infection rate is higher in the age group of 31-50 years, and the rate of single HPV infection is higher than multiple infections. It is necessary to enhance the screening capacity for HPV types 16,52,and 58 in this area and pay sufficient attention.Targeted promotion of CC vaccine should be implemented to effectively reduce the occurrence of cervical cancer in this area.
