An Investigation and Comparison of TORCH Infection in Male and Female Populations in Beijing Area
Objective To analyze TORCH infection in patients of our hospital in recent years,so as to provide a reference for the work of eugenic and eugenic care in Beijing area. Methods Male and non-pregnant women patients were selected as study subjects.Fasting blood was drawn from all subjects, and the serum was centrifuged.TORCH pathogen antibody IgG and IgM in serum were detected by enzyme-linked immunoreaction test, and the data were then processed and analyzed. Results A significant more women than men were tested by TORCH;IgM positive rates for TOX,RV,CMV and HSV were different between males and females, and all infection modes of TOX and HSV were different between males and females, with higher antibody positive rates in females than in males; The influence of different seasons on IgM positive rate in males was only shown in RV and CMV,while in females,IgM positive rate could affect TOX,RV,CMV and HSV-1;IgM positive rates of HSV-1 and HSV-2 in male and female were different in each season, and infection patterns of HSV-2 in male and female were different in each season;Co-infection analysis showed that RV+CMV,RV+HSV-1 ,CMV+HSV-1 and RV+CMV+HSV-1 were the main co-infection patterns of IgG positive in both males and females, and the IgG positive rate in females was higher than that in males.Positive rate analysis showed that IgM,HSV-1+HSV-2 and RV+HSV-1 were the main co-infection patterns. The antibody positive rate of female was much higher than that of male. Conclusion Within Beijing area, the population of TORCH infection is mainly women, while the pathogens are mainly RV,CMV, and HSV.The infection can be affected by seasonal factors. It is recommended to increase the testing of TORCH-related items for men of childbearing age, which can help couples prevent infection during pre-pregnancy period.
