An Investigation on the Effect of Each Component of the Separating Gel Coagulation Blood Collection Tube on the Detection Results of Potassium,Sodium,Chloride,Calcium,Phosphorus and Magnesium Ions
Objective To study the effects of separating gels, rubber stoppers and tube wall coatings on the detection results of potassium, sodium, chloride, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium ions. Methods The serum samples of 100 blood donors from the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University in August~September,2023 were collected and mixed in the same container and in different test tubes. The test tubes were processed differently, and the test tubes were divided into four groups:Group A:placed the serum in a test tube consisting of a dry glass tube and a yellow rubber stopper and placed it upside down;Group B:placed the serum in a dry glass tube with a separating gel on the wall and placed upright;Group C:placed the serum in a red cap and a yellow tube to remove the separating gel and was placed upright;Group D:placed the serum in a Red Hat desiccator and placed upright as an experimental control group. The above groups of test tubes were left at room temperature overnight and centrifuged for detection. The measurement results of ordinary red-headed dryers were used as a reference and analyzed by paired t-test.The effects of the components of the separating gel procoagulant blood collection tube on the detection results of potassium, sodium, chloride, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium ions were observed. The effect of different components of the separated rubber blood collection tubes on the test results was evaluated by 1/2 of the allowable total error (TEa)in the Quality Index of Routine Items of Clinical Biochemical Testing (WS/T403-2012).Results There was a significant difference in the detection results of magnesium ions in rubber stoppers (P<0.01 ).There was no significant difference in the detection results of potassium, sodium, chloride, calcium and phosphorus ions (P>0.05);There was no significant difference in the detection results of potassium, sodium, chloride, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium ions between the separating glue and the pipe wall coating (P>0.05 );When 1/2 TEa was used as an acceptable offset, the detection of gum-soaked serum magnesium was out of range. Conclusion Separated rubber blood collection tubes can play an important role in clinical testing, but before the application of separated rubber blood collection tubes, the appropriate transportation mode should be selected according to the test items to avoid inversion,so as not to affect the test results of magnesium ions.
