The Research Progress on the Correlation Between Serum Uric Acid and Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases
Uric acid (UA)is one of key components for the metabolism process of the body. With the improvement of quality of life and dynamic changes of dietary structure, the incidence rate of hyperuricemia (HUA)is increasing yearly. It has been shown that UA is closely related to the occurrence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases such as hypertension, coronary artery disease (CAD ),heart failure, arrhythmia and stroke. This paper reviews previous studies on the correlation between serum UA level and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases,in order to provide clinical references for early prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
