A Study on Levels of Serum sTREM2 and YY1 in Children with Sepsis and Their Correlations with Myocardial Injury
Objective To investigate levels of serum soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-2(sTREM2)and transcription factor Yin-Yang-1(YY1)in children with sepsis and their correlations with myocardial injury. Methods From October,2020 to October,2023,134 children with sepsis who visited our hospital were regarded as the study subjects. They were further divided into a myocardial injury group(n=48)and a non-myocardial injury group(n=86)based on whether they had myocardial injury;72 healthy children during the same period were regarded as the control group.ELISA method was applied to detect serum sTREM2 level in each group, and qRT-PCR method was applied to detect the serum YY1 expression level in each group;Pearson method was used to evaluate the correlation between serum sTREM2 and YY1 levels in pediatric patients, and the correlation between their serum levels and myocardial injury indicators;Multivariate logistic regression was applied to identify the influencing factors of myocardial injury in children with sepsis. Results Serum levels of sTREM2 and YY1 in children with sepsis were significantly increased(P<0.05);There was a significantly difference in the proportion of septic shock, levels of CRP,PCT,LD,CK-MB,cTnI,and Mb between the non-myocardial injury group and the myocardial injury group(P<0.05);Compared with the non-myocardial injury group, serum levels of sTREM2 and YY1 in myocardial injury group were significantly reduced(P<0.05),and serum levels of sTREM2 and YY1 were positively correlated(r=0.472,P=0.001),and both were negatively correlated with levels of myocardial injury indicators LD,CK-MB,cTnI,and Mb(all P<0.05);Logistic regression analysis showed that septic shock, elevated levels of CRP and PCT were risk factors for myocardial injury in children with sepsis, while elevated levels of sTREM2 and YY1 were protective factors(P<0.05).Conclusion Levels of serum sTREM2 and YY1 in children with sepsis are significantly increased, and their levels are closely related to myocardial injury in children with sepsis. The high expressions of sTREM2 and YY1 are protective factors for myocardial injury in children with sepsis.
