An Analysis of the Correlation Between Humoral Immunity and Hospitalization Times in Adults with Still's Disease
Objective To investigate the correlation between humoral immune levels and the number of hospitalizations in adult Still's disease patients. Methods 57 active stage adult-onset Still's disease(AOSD)patients were divided into two groups based on the number of hospitalizations, and levels of immunoglobulin, complement,IgA,IgM,IgG were detected using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results 57 AOSD patients were divided into a non-readmission group(N=1,n=26)and a readmission group(N>1,n=31).The IgA level in group N>1 was lower than group N=1.The IgA level was negatively correlated with the number of hospitalizations(r=-0.436,P=0.002).Conclusion The serum IgA level is negatively correlated with the number of hospitalizations, and reduced serum IgA is a risk factor for the recurrence of AOSD.
