Multi-anticoagulant-dependent Pseudothrombocytopenia with Platelet Phagocytosis by Leukocytes:a Case Report
Pseudothrombocytopenia(PTCP)is a laboratory phenomenon that only occurs in vitro, and no pathological or physiological changes can be observed in patients. The common precipitating factors for PTCP include inductions with different types of anticoagulants, and infections in ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid dipotassium(EDTA-K2)-Edathamil-anticoagulated venous blood. This study reported a case of multi-anticoagulant-dependent PTCP with platelet satellitism and phagocytosis by neutrophils, lymphocytes and monocytes.Through the study of this specific case,it is suggested that different manifestations of anticoagulant-dependent PTCP can be supplemented. The results of this case implies the necessity to approach the patient's condition and auxiliary examination information dialectically, while not to make a blind conclusion, otherwise it may lead to a misdiagnosis or unnecessary treatment.
