The Correlation Between Vaginal Microecological Characteristics and HPV Infection in Outpatients
Objective To analyze characteristics of vaginal microecology and the distribution of human papillomavirus(HPV)in women outpatients and to further explore the correlation between vaginal microecology and HPV infection. Methods In this study,22129 patients who visited the Gynecological Clinic of the Second People's Hospital of Shenzhen from April,2020 to April,2023 and received vaginal microecolo-gy and HPV examinations at the same time were selected as the research objects. The examination results of these patients were collected and analyzed. Results Among 22129 patients studied,1.17%(259/22129)had normal vaginal microecology, while 98.83%(21870/22129)had vaginal microecological disorders.Patients with microecological disorders with clear pathogenic bacteria accounted for 10.87%(2 405/22129).Patients with uncomplicated vaginitis accounted for 96.42%(2 319/2 405),and those with mixed vaginitis accounted for 3.58%(86/2 405).The positive rate of HPV was 16.52%(3 655/22 129)in 22 129 patients. The five types with the highest positive rate were high-risk HPV,which were HPV52(3.75%,829/22129),HPV53(1.86%,411/22129),HPV51(1.70%,377/22129),HPV16(1.63%,360/22129),and HPV58(1.53%,339/22129).For characteristics of vaginal microecology, cleanliness,pH value, leukocyte esterase, hydrogen peroxide, and sialic acid enzyme were related to HPV infection(P<0.01),while pH value was related to high-risk HPV infection(P<0.05).Conclusion Abnormal vaginal microecological indicators are associated with HPV infection. Therefore,it is important to pay more attentions to results of clinical examinations related to vaginal microecology.
