The fingerprint of main strawberry varieties in China was constructed based on SSR molecular marker
[Objective]Constructing the DNA fingerprints of the main strawberry varieties in China using SSR molecular markers to provide fundamental data for the protection of the rights and interests of breeders and the efficient identification of strawberry resources.[Methods]Using the current mian strawberry varieties(70 in total)currently planted in China as materi-als,28 SSR molecular markers were evaluated by fluorescence capillary electrophoresis technology, and DNA fingerprints of strawberry varieties were constructed by using screened high-efficiency SSR markers.[Results]Five pairs of core primers with high polymorphism and good repeatability were selected from the 28 pairs of primers.A total of 40 alleles were detected by the core primers, with an average of 8 alleles per primer pair.A total of 142 bands were detected, averaging 28.4 bands per primer pair. The polymorphic information content(PIC)of the markers ranged from 0.79 to 0.87,with an average PIC value of 0.83.Celuster analysis-results showed that the similarity coefficients between strawberry varietie ranged 0.65 to 0.97.[Conclusion]The DNA fingerprints of 70 strawberry varieties with unique correspondence have been successfully constructed, which will provide data support for resource conservation and use promotion of strawberry varieties in the future.
