Field control effect of 5%carvacrol AS against Bradysia odoripahaga
[Objective]To evaluate the field control effect of 5%carvacrol AS on the chive maggot(Bradysia odoripahaga)and its impact on the growth safety of Chinese leek.[Methods]Using 0.3%matrine AS as control agent, the control effect of 5%carvacrol AS on B.odoripahaga was investigated through root irrigation, and its safety in Chinese leek production was evalua-ted through yield increase rate and sensory evaluation of quality.[Results]Field experiments showed that when applied once in the early stage of B.odoripahaga infestation,3-14 days after treatment, the protective effect on Chinese leek of 5%carvacrol AS at 450.00g(a.i.)/hm 2,600.00g(a.i.)/hm 2 was 49.10%-85.60%.After 21 d of treatment, the reduction rate and control effect of B.odoripahaga can reach 76.26%and 84.32%,and the yield increase rate of Chinese leek can reach 14.59%.[Con-clusion]5%carvacrol AS has good control effect on B.odoripahaga, and is safe for leek growth. It can be promoted and applied as a green insecticide for the prevention and control of B.odoripahaga.
