Comprehensive evaluation on traits of thirteen new rose varieties based on analytic hierarchy process
[Objective]This study aims to comprehensive evaluate 13 new rose varieties cultivated by Beijing Academy of Forestry and Landscape Architecture.[Methods]Focusing on growth traits,floral traits,and resistance to disease and pest,31 traits in roses were investigated.These traitsinclude plant type,growth vigor,flower quantity,flower color,flower diameter,ever bloow-ing,resistance to powdery mildew and black spot.Analytic Hierarchy Process was used to evaluate these traits.[Results]By principal component analysis 17 important traits were selected.After comprehensive evaluation,13 rose varieties were classified into 2 levels.Grade Ⅰ contained 7 varieties,i.e.'Anxiang','Keai Bingjiling','Hongwuyue','Haofeng Jiayue','Xin-shidai','Chunhua Qiuyue',and'Fenhuatan'.There were 6 varieties in Grade Ⅱ,including'Chunchao','Lugou Xiaoyue','Huangzuan','Biyue Xiuhua','Qianzhihe',and'Dongfang Zhizhu'.[Conclusion]This evaluation system provides a basis for selecting suitable rose varieties in Beijing area.The 7 rose varieties of Grade Ⅰ are suitable for promotion and application in Bei-jing area.
