Research on the Coupling Coordination and Spatial Effect of Sports Industry Agglomeration and Innovation
In order to explore the coupling and coordinated development relationship between sports industry agglomeration and innovation,taking provinces as research units,starting from the relevant theories of industrial agglomeration and innovation,as well as the path analysis of the impact of sports industry agglomeration on innova-tion,and based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2014 to 2021,this study systematically investigated the spatial spillover effect and mechanism of sports industry agglomeration on its innovation by using the gravity model,bivariate spatial correlation analysis and the spatial econometric model.The research found that China's sports industry is overall at a medium to low level of agglomeration;the spatial coupling between sports industry agglomeration and its innovation is gradually improving;the agglomeration of China's sports industry has a posi-tive role in promoting its innovation,but the degree of promotion varies for various types of innovation;at this stage,the agglomeration of sports industry only plays a certain level of innovation spillover effect in some eastern coastal areas of China;the impact of sports industry agglomeration on its innovation in China varies in the direction and path of action in different regions.It is suggested to provide policy support for giving full play to the the role of sports industry agglomeration in promoting its innovation,boosting the construction of China's sports industry inno-vation system,and promoting the regional collaborative innovation from the dimensions of building a regional stra-tegic coordination mechanism for the sports industry,orderly expanding the scale of sports industry agglomeration,and strengthening the localization of exogenous sports enterprises.
