Multi-dimensionalInterpretation of the Technique and Ideology of Shaolin Stick Method Revealed and its Contemporary Value
This study,focusing on Shaolin Stick Method Revealed,employs methods such as literature review and logical analysis to explore the Wushu experiences,creation background,and stick method ideology of Cheng Zongy-ou.This study aims to present the stick method's development in Ming Dynasty and explore its significance in Wushu,hoping to provide some references and insights for the contemporary development of long-stick combat e-vents.The research concludes that Cheng's aspiration to apply standards to Wushu is closely related to his family traditions and the customs of Huizhou;the completion of Shaolin Stick Method Revealed is relevant to the stick-ad-vocating practice by Ming Dynasty monk soldiers,Yu Dayou,and Qi Jiguang among others;the technical system of"integrating spear with stick techniques"solves the problem of uniformity of stick method,and the ideology of"in-tegrating various schools of fist position"is also embodied;the Shaolin stick method is highly consistent and unified with military tactics and philosophical concepts.Shaolin Stick Method Revealed is a crucial historical material and bibliographical basis for understanding the development of Wushu skill in Ming Dynasty.Strengthening the research and sorting of ancient Wushu skill literature concerning Shaolin stick method in Ming Dynasty helps establish a sys-tem of Chinese Wushu skill bibliography.By retracing and sorting the historical development of Wushu skill,gaining insights and reflections,Chinese Wushu can truly achieve"upholding fundamental principles and breaking new ground."
