A Study on the Spatiotemporal Characteristics and Regional Differences of Government Funding for National Fitness Public Services in China
By analyzing the temporal and spatial characteristics of government fund investment, this paper reveals the internal mechanism and driving force of government fund investment in national fitness public services, and deeply analyzes the differences and imbalances among various regions,so as to provide support for the optimization of resource allocation and investment structure. This study employs spatial analysis and Theil index analysis methods to explore the spatiotemporal characteristics and regional differences in the government's fund investment in public services for national fitness in the four major regions of China from 2009 to 2020.The results indicate that the fund allocation exhibits significant spatial dependence and inter-regional differences, particularly prominent in the eastern and western regions. The time series analysis reflects a growth trend and annual fluctuations in fund alloca-tion,showcasing the influence of policy adjustments and socio-economic factors. The study also finds that fund allo-cation in the eastern region shows lower levels of inequality compared to that in the western region, primarily due to intra-regional disparities.Based on these findings,it is recommended that the government, when formulating nation-al fitness policies, should prioritize the socio-economic disparities among regions and utilize differentiated policy tools to promote balanced allocation and distribution of resources.Additionally,it is suggested that the fund alloca-tion should be gradually increased in response to changes in population and fitness needs to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of public services, thereby supporting the development of national fitness.
