The Basic Direction,Prominent Issues and Key Pathways of Deepening the Reform of School Sports in China under the Goal of Chinese Path to Modernization
Under the grand blueprint of socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics in the new era,the de-velopment of school sports has been endowed with new connotations and missions of the times.The deep values of school sports reform in the new era are mainly reflected in the following aspects:1)Promoting the students to es-tablish the value concept of"sports as life"and providing assistance for the construction of their future happy life;2)Correcting the cognitive bias in sports education and fully playing the educational function of"cultivating people through sports";3)Addressing the shortcomings of school sports development and promoting the high-quality de-velopment of Chinese path to sports education modernization;4)Reshaping the contemporary positioning of school sports,and steadily building a high-quality governance system for school sports.However,in comparison with the goals of modernization development,the development of school sports in China still faces a number of prominent problems,including the key role of school sports in national health promotion not being fully leveraged,a high-quality education system not yet formed at the school sports level,the problem of non-synchronization between sports talent cultivation and social needs,and the lack of support from the community sports environment for school sports.These problems restrict the unique value and role of school sports in promoting the modernization construction with Chinese characteristics.In order to effectively promote the diversified,modernized,and high-quality development of school sports in the new era,the development pathways are suggested as follows.1)Multiple parties should work together to strengthen the implementation of national policies,and enhance students'renewed recognition of the functions and values of school sports.2)Continuously optimize the integrated teaching model of school sports,and ensure that every student masters 1-2 sports skills.3)Optimize the professional settings of sports in colleges and universities according to social needs to improve the quality of sports talent cultivation in schools.4)Expand channels for investment in sports resources,and play the core role of school sports in the basic public sports service system.
