During the Han Dynasty,acrobatics flourished and was closely related to dance,often performed on the same stage.In the Han Dynasty,a specialized group of acrobatic performers formed,with a wide range of personnel,which can be subdivided into six categories:lower-class people,servants,alchemists,dignitaries,and officials,as well as neighboring ethnic minorities and foreign performers.There were three modes of acrobatic training in the Han Dynasty:self-study,home-study,and professional training.The first kind of training was mainly for acrobatic amateurs to entertain themselves or others.Another two were mainly cultivate artists for public performances.There were three main forms of performances:played at court feasts,played in the open square,and walking through streets and lanes to play.Acrobatics was an indispensable part of the entertainment life in the Han Dynasty,and the emergence of many performers promoted the richness and maturity of the acrobatic art,which also had an important influence on the development of dance in the Han Dynasty,accelerated the spread of the entertainment culture and cultivated an open social atmosphere.
