Body Patterns of Pangu Dance on the Han Stone Reliefs
The Han stone reliefs reflected the social and cultural image of the Han Dynasty, and a large number of patterned images have become important materials for contemporary people to explore the history of the Han Dynasty owing to their typical and representative features. However, most of them were derived from the craftsmen's imitation of specific"templates",and to some extent, the imagination and creativity of craftsmen were incorporated into the image configuration, which set a"trap"to explore history through images, requiring us to distinguish the mapping relationship between the images and historical and cultural phenomena. The study of the Pangu dance on the Han stone reliefs is the same. Therefore, based on the previous research, this paper analyzes the body patterns of the Pangu dance on the Han stone reliefs, and regards that the"Shang Jun Model"is mostly a"fictional"product of the craftsmen, which is far from the"reality"of the Pangu dance of Han Dynasty; The"Central Plains Model"is more likely to be a true reflection of the historical image of the Pangu dance of Han Dynasty. Its stylistic characteristics not only belong to the same category as the Pangu image depicted in the murals of Han tombs and prose poems, but further contributes to the evolution of the female Pangu dance performed in the Western Han Dynasty's royal court. It also influences the occurrence and development of the"Shu County Model"and the"Yan Qing Xu Model",and spread throughout the Eastern Han Dynasty.
