Differences between Team Dance and Daqu of the Song Dynasty:Five Music and Dance Performances of"Tang Music"in The History of Goryeo,Music
The five music and dance performances of"Tang Music"Dedication of Immortal Peach,Longevity,Five Goat Immortals,Music of Ball-Tossing,and Lotus Platform recorded in The History of Goryeo·Music were derived from the Song Dynasty.They are a visual representation of the music performance of the Song royal court.There are academic debates between Daqu and team dance concerning the categories of these five performances,implying that the academic understanding of the characteristics and differences between the two is still unclear.By comparing the literature and images from China and South Korea,there were significant differences in the music structure and performance form between team dance and Daqu of the Song Dynasty.The five performances introduced to Goryeo such as Dedication of Immortal Peach can be classified as the team dance.It also clarifies that the frequently cited"Daqu"in the 45th and 46th volumes of Mao Feng Zhen Yin Man Lu is a mixed system that includes the team dance.It also analyzes the reasons for its miscellaneous inclusion and elucidates the evolution and conceptual changes of Daqu and team dance during the Tang and Song Dynasties.
