Exploring the Theory of Creative Transformation of Dunhuang Music and Dance Heritage
This paper draws on the author's over forty years of personal experience in the study,contemplation,appreciation,and practice of Dunhuang art.It aims to provide a theoretical summary of how to transform the static cultural heritage of Dunhuang Grottoes mural music and dance into performing arts on stage,hoping to benefit young scholars and practitioners interested in Dunhuang art.Dunhuang mural music and dance heritage,as a treasure of Chinese culture,is characterized by its essence rooted in and appealing to reality.To grasp its dance movements and aesthetic features,it is essential to extract its essence and summarize its patterns.In creating artistic works,we should delve into history,and read historical texts and poetry to provide a solid foundation of historical materials and rich scene imagery.Meanwhile,creators need to liberate their thoughts and innovate boldly,using emotions to activate dance movements,express contemporary themes,and resonate emotionally with the audience's life experiences.Dunhuang music and dance are not only a legacy of history but also a means of cultural innovation and development.Through in-depth exploration and research,this valuable heritage can be promoted by injecting new vitality into modern artistic creation.
