This paper examines the creation of the couple dance of ethnic folk dance from the perspective of"speech acts",exploring the different states and connotations expressed by the dancing body in various contexts,as well as the value of"speech acts"in the works of the couple dance.The body language of dance is intuitive,where"speech"and"action"occur simultaneously,and"speech"must be embodied through"action".The application of"speech acts"in dance creation mainly involves two aspects:firstly,the choreographer's speech conveys its implied meanings through the dance work;secondly,dance works are created by refining and organizing these"speech acts"between characters within specific cultural contexts and combined with the choreographer's insights.
