The Effects of Mindfulness-Based Dance Movement Therapy Groups Intervention on Graduates'Perceived Stress and Emotions
Recently,university graduates have experienced significant stress and negative emotions.It is urgent to explore a suitable mode of intervention with appropriate duration,effect and acceptability.This paper conducted a 3-week online mindfulness-based dance movement therapy(MB-DMT)group intervention among 27 graduates to investigate its effects on perceived stress,negative emotions,positive emotions,and the level of mindfulness,and discussed its intervention effects.Participants completed the Perceived Stress Scale(CPSS)and Profile of Mood States(POMS)before and after the intervention,along with a post-intervention subjective evaluation questionnaire.The results indicated a significant reduction in the total score of perceived stress;the total score of negative emotions and scores on each dimension decreased significantly,while the score of vitality increased notably.Participants rated the MB-DMT intervention highly.The effectiveness of the intervention is related to the unique aspects of the MB-DMT.This paper lays the groundwork for further research on the MB-DMT.
