Practical Exploration of the Cultivation of Artistic Competence in Dance Curriculum during Compulsory Education
Cultivating artistic competence is the core goal of the dance curriculum during compulsory education, which requires the dance curriculum to go beyond merely teaching knowledge and techniques, instead emphasizing the interaction among knowledge(techniques),individuals, and contexts. To address the disconnect between dance knowledge(techniques)and artistic competence in teaching,it is necessary not only to introduce major concepts into teaching objectives, but also to generate evaluation evidence through the six aspects of understanding, and to incorporate a variety of expressive tasks in teaching activities. This is because the major concepts, deep understanding, and expressive tasks present a comprehensive state of knowledge(techniques),individuals, and contexts, aligning with the intrinsic requirements of artistic competence and facilitating its implementation in teaching. This paper takes The Mischievous Little Clock as an example to explore models for cultivating artistic competence in dance curriculum during compulsory education.
