The Narrative of Others:Stranahan's Study on the CPC's Women's Policy and Its Effectiveness during the Yan'an Period
During the Yan'an period,the CPC's women's policies played an important guiding role in encouraging women to participate in the revolution,engage in production,and support con-struction,laying a solid theoretical foundation for the liberation of women in New China.Through the analysis and organization of the relevant content in Female Labor Heroes in Yan'an and Yan'an Women and the Chinese Communist Party by American scholar Patricia Stranahan,an examination of the theoretical sources of the CPC's women's policies during the Yan'an period,the division of the period,and the important role played by the Jiefang Daily in the propagation of the CPC's women's policies is focused on her interpretation.Her research achievements and textual narratives have refer-ence significance for our deepening research on the women's policies of the CPC during the Yan'an period.However,we should also note that due to differences in ideology,methodology,and other fac-tors,some of the author's viewpoints have their own limitations.
