Research on the Impact of Digital Economy on Government Governance Ability Based on the Perspective of Technological Innovation
The construction and development of digital economy and digital government are"two wings"in the process of digital integration of Chinese economy and society,and the study of the im-pact of digital economy on government governance capacity and mechanism is of great significance.This paper takes the panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2011 to 2021 as a sample to empirically test the effect and mechanism of digital economy on government governance ability.The results show that digital economy has a significant promoting effect on government governance ability,which is still valid after considering endogeneity and robustness.Digital economy promotes the improvement of government governance capacity by promoting scientific and technological innovation;The effects were heterogeneous in different periods and regions.In view of this,it is necessary to accelerate the construction of digital technology facilities,strengthen the construction of legal system in the digital field,and cultivate the digital literacy of all employees to effectively improve the government's gov-ernance capacity.
