On Bodhidharma's Two Entries and Four Practices of Zen Method
Bodhidharma, the first ancestor of the Chinese Zen sect, came to China from India to propagate the Two Entries and Four Practices Zen method. The Two Entries and Four Practices Zen method is extremely general and comprehensive, covering the basic Buddhist insights(the Rationale),methods of teaching(the Teachings),and methods of practice(the Actions),and it is a complete sys-tem of Zen method. This system of Zen method provided the basic paradigm for the formation of the early Zen discourse system, and also provided a solid foundation and possibility for the prosperous de-velopment of the five schools and seven sects of Zen Buddhism in later generations.
