Social Communication and Psychological Mechanism of the Popularity of"Catchy Songs"—Focusing on Subject Three
As a cultural symbol,"catchy songs"are a reflection of the living attitude and values of contemporary Chinese young people.After being spread through short video platforms,the popular dance Subject Three has become a trend that netizens compete to imitate.Through the study of the phenomenon of the popularity of the dance Subject Three and its underlying formation mechanism,this paper finds that meme replication is the network dissemination mechanism of the"catchy songs",while emotional dissipation and value self-construction are the social and psychological mechanisms for the popularity of"catchy songs".
