Analysis of influencing factors on prognosis of neurosyphilis in patients with syphilis conventional treatment ineffective
Objective To explore rhe influencing factors on prognosis of neurosyphilis in patients with syphilis conventional treatment ineffective. Methods A total of 72 neurosyphilis patients with conventional treatment ineffective in Beijing You'an Hospital,Capital Medical University from January 2015 to December 2021 were selected, and were divided into treatment ineffective group(n=16)and treatment effective group(n=56).The prognostic factors of patients with neurosyphilis was analyzed by multivariate Cox regression. Results Among the 72 patients, there were 45 males and 27 females, aged from 18 to 75 years, with an average age of(44.1±13.0)years.Multivariate Cox regression showed that patients with neurosyphilis who had no history of cerebral infarction(HR=2.796,95%CI:1.162-6.731,P=0.022)and had higher rapid plasma reagin test(RPR)titer before treatment(HR=1.260,95%CI:1.085-1.462,P=0.002)had better prognosis. Conclusions The history of cerebral infarction and serum RPR titer before treatment are the factors influencing the prognosis of patients with neurosyphilis who have conventional treatment ineffective. No history of cerebral infarction and the higher serum RPR titer before treatment, the better prognosis of patients with neurosyphilis.
