WEI Wei's experience in treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease based on "Brain-gut Co-regulation"
Gastroesophageal reflux disease is a refractory disease of the digestive system characterized by abnormal brain-gut interaction. Impaired dispersion of the liver and gallbladder (emotion-brain) and abnormal rise and fall of the spleen and stomach (digestion-intestine) are its pathogenesis. Clinical manifestations include acid reflux,heartburn (gut),anxiety and depression (brain). Taking into account comprehensively,Professor Wei Wei innovatively proposed the theory of "Brain-gut Co-regulation",and flexibly used different treatment methods to simultaneously improve the symptoms of "brain" and "gut",so as to Achieve the purpose of harmony. This paper discusses the theoretical connotation,pathophysiological mechanism and clinical application experience of " Brain-gut Co-regulation ",hoping to provide a reference for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease.
