Vestibular migraine(VM),characterized by recurrent episodes with vestibular symptoms or accompanying migraine symptoms, stands as a significant contributor to dizziness and imbalance. In traditional Chinese medicine, the continuous circulation of yiqi(the one qi)throughout the body holds profound significance for human life activities. This study delves into Huang Yuanyu's concept of yiqi zhouliu(circulation of the one qi)and examines the pathogenesis of vestibular migraine from this perspective. The pathogenesis of vestibular migraine, based on the theory of yiqi zhouliu, involves dysfunction of spleen qi,stagnation of liver qi,hyperactivity of ministerial fire, and deficiency of kidney-yin and yang. The treatment approach encompasses four key aspects:strengthening the spleen, soothing the liver, removing ministerial fire, and tonifying the kidney. These interventions aim to restore the circulation of yiqi, facilitating the human body's entry into a virtuous circle. This theory introduces a novel perspective for the treatment of vestibular migraine.
