Treatment of clival chordoma using the method of reinforcing healthy qi and consolidating the foundation:a case report

摘要
脊索瘤是来源于胚胎时期残留脊索组织的少见肿瘤,是一种少见的骨肿瘤,因疾病发生部位特殊,手术很难完全切除,不能被完全切除的的脊索瘤局部复发率高、预后不佳.本例在扶正治癌思想指导下,通过固护正气治疗局部之瘤,辨证精准、施治到位,综合应用健脾益气、补肾填精、平肝潜阳、软坚散结、化痰解毒等治法,治疗11 年未出现复发转移,病情稳定.
Abstract
Chordoma is a rare bone tumor originating from residual notochordal tissue during the embryonic period.Due to its location,complete surgical removal is challenging,leading to a high local recurrence rate and poor prognosis.This case report describes a patient treated under the guidance of the approach of reinforcing healthy qi and consolidating the foundation in TCM.By fortifying healthy qi and utilizing precise syndrome differentiation,various treatments were applied,including invigorating the spleen and qi,tonifying the kidney and essence,calming the liver and subduing yang,softening hardness and dissipating masses,resolving phlegm and removing toxins.After 11 years of treatment,the patient showed no signs of recurrence or metastasis,and the condition remained stable.
