The Combined Construction of Social Work under the New Pattern of Chinese Modern-ization
The establishment of the Social Work Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and its system has put the task of building a functionally integrated social work system on the agenda. In response to the Party's new social work system, which is based on trans-ferred functional branches, and the given responsibility of coordinating and guiding the develop-ment of various fields of social work,it is imperative to build a structurally connected and function-ally integrated social work system that is compatible with the new development of Chinese mod-ernization.The underlying idea, referring to the logic of"what is already there...and what is more"of Chinese modernization,is to promote the combined construction of the Party's existed depart-ments related to social work, the Social Work Department and other relevant government depart-ments,as well as social work professional services and local administrative social work practices in attempt to transform institutional advantages into governance effectiveness.
