What can be Done for the Modernization of Grassroots Governance in Social Work:The Overview on the Annual Meeting of the Rural Social Work and Disaster Social Work Special Committee of CASWE
Social work has a unique position in the modernization of grassroots governance. It not only needs to accurately judge the governance issues in the new era and provide guidance at the theoretical level,but also needs to stimulate the vitality of the whole people and highlight the professional value through comprehensive service practice. Therefore,the 2023 Annual meeting of the Rural Social Work and Disaster Social Work Special Committee held at Baoshan University carried out a comprehensive response with the theme of Social Work in the modernization of grassroots governance. Participants focused on topics in multiple sub fields such as rural social work,disaster social work,environmental social work,border rural governance,and the construction of township social work stations. The participants actively discussed,which is of great significance to promote social work to help modernize the grassroots governance system and governance capacity.
