Study on compressive strength of heavy octagonal corrugated cartons and its prediction model
To study the primary and secondary order and functional relationship of the influencing factors on the compressive strength of heavy-duty octagonal corrugated cardboard boxes,and establish a scientific and reasonable compressive strength prediction model,By selecting the edge compression strength,bottom edge perimeter,height,and adjacent edge ratio of composite corrugated cardboard as influencing factors,a four-factor three-level orthogonal experiment was designed based on similarity criteria.SPSS and MATLAB were used for experimental data processing and multiple linear regression equation fitting,and samples were processed based on actual design cases for verification.The results show that the primary and secondary order of factors affecting the compressive strength of octagonal boxes is edge compression strength>bottom edge perimeter>adjacent edge ratio>height;The experimental data verification error and experimental verification error are 11.6%and 11.08%,respectively.The accuracy of the prediction model is higher than the commonly used calculation formula for traditional ordinary cardboard boxes.The research provides a scientific basis for predicting the compressive strength,selecting materials,and designing structural parameters of octagonal box products.
