CAD/CAE Integration of Steel Structure Based on CATIA
In order to meet the challenges brought by the particularity of steel structure in the integration of computer aided design(CAD)and computer aided engineering(CAE)in steel structures,the key issues such as data conversion and geometric idealization in the integration of CAD and CAE are analyzed and summarized.On this basis,a method to realize the integration of CAD and CAE in steel structure based on CATIA V6 software is proposed.The effectiveness of the method was verified by a design case of steel structure of a lashing bridge.The method realizes the automatic switching of CAE geometric idealization and integrating load data into CAD model,thereby avoiding the data separation problem caused by traditional methods and reducing the inefficient work of manual operation.
