Study on Vibration Reduction Characteristics of High Damping Alloy Foundations
The damping performance of conventional steel foundations is limited. The damping characteristics of high damping alloy foundations are studied so that the vibration reduction capability of the foundations are further improved by utilizing the high damping characteristics of damping alloy materials.Dynamic characteristics of high damping alloy foundation and conventional steel foundation are compared and analyzed by numerical calculation.Typical foundations of two different materials are designed.Input impedance and vibration level drop index of two material foundations are compared by vibration test. The research shows that the input impedance of damping alloy foundation is lower than that of traditional steel foundation under the condition of equal weight plate thickness, and the vibration level drop of the foundation is 4 dB~7 dB higher than that of traditional steel foundation. The research results have certain guiding significance for the design of high damping alloy foundation and the optimization of damping performance.
