Structural Strength and Optimization Analysis of FPSO Living Quarter Module Lifting Lugs
In order to meet the overall lifting safety requirements of the floating production storage and offloading(FPSO)living quarter module,a study on the structural type and strength optimization design of the overall lifting lug during the FPSO living quarter module lifting process is conducted.Initially, based on the strength verification theory of the plate-type lifting lug structure, parametric modeling is used to analyze the strength of the lifting lug by the finite element analysis software ABAQUS,and an optimization process for the lug structure is proposed.Through iterative calculations, the lifting lug structures with different load-carrying capacities are optimized and finalized. The research findings indicate that the quality of the optimized and finalized suspension structure is lower than that of the original structure, achieving lightweighting of the overall structure within the allowable range of structural strength. The research results can provide some reference for the design of the integral lifting lug structures.
