The vocational skills competition plays an important role in promoting the teaching reform of vocational colleges and improving the quality of talents training. English is an important basic course in vocational colleges, and the vocational skills competition plays an important guiding role in higher vocational English teaching and talents training. This paper studies the reform strategies of English teaching in higher vocational colleges based on the discussion of the value of vocational English skills competition to English teaching in higher vocational colleges, so as to improve the English quality of students in higher vocational colleges.
