Social service is one of the important functions of colleges and universities and social training is an important way for colleges and universities to provide direct service to society by utilizing their own resources and advantages. Taking the water conservancy industry as the research object, the paper investigates the vocational skill needs of different types of training objects in the water conservancy industry. And on the basis of analyzing the advantages of social service in higher vocational colleges and the current situation of social training service in water conservancy higher vocational colleges, the paper explores the path of vocational training for the society in higher vocational colleges.
